We have three alternatives that allow you to visit Florence in one long day from Rome. A traditional guided coach tour with luxury touring coach and professional guiding and for the independently minded a tour by train with more free time and a private tour by car for convenience and flexibility.
On your full-day fully guided coach tour from Rome to Florence, you'll travel in a northerly direction to cross the green valley of the Tevere and the slopes of the Apennines covered with olive groves and vineyards. You'll also cross the famous wine-growing valley of Chianti before arriving in Florence.
Your Florence city tour begins with a guided visit to the Accademia Gallery (Gallerie dell'Accademia) to see the original statue of Michelangelo's David. You will continue on a walking tour with a local guide to the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore (outside visit) to admire the beautiful dome by Brunelleschi.
You'll see other treasures, such as the Baptistery and Giotto's Bell Tower, before arriving at Piazza della Signoria, the heart of Florence.
After lunch in a typical Florentine restaurant, you will continue to the church of Santa Croce, where great artists like Michelangelo are buried. Finally, you will have the opportunity to visit one of Florence's leather schools and discover other ancient crafts such as mosaics and goldsmiths.
The coach will depart Florence at approximately 5pm for the return journey to Rome.

Spend a day in Florence on this independent day trip from Rome by high-speed train! After starting the experience with a hotel pick-up, travel from Rome Tiburtina Station to Florence Santa Maria Novella Railway Station in roughly 1.5 hours.
The station is in the heart of the city. The basic tour leaves you completely independent to explore Florence at your own pace, or you can opt to take advantage of the optional guided tour.

Florence, this historic Renaissance city is home to the Uffizi Gallery and the Accademia Gallery, where so many wonderful pieces of art are on display, and some well known attractions of Florence include the cathedral and Palazzo Vecchio. Your day in Florence is fully under your control.
You can include a scenic orientation drive through the city so you can appreciate the beautiful architecture and attractions in full. If you prefer to spend time experiencing la dolce vita alone you could explore the winding streets and alleyways, take a peek at the ancient city walls and sip coffee at one of the pretty pavement cafés within the ancient squares of Florence.
Your driver will drop you off at a convenient location and arrange to collect you from a pre-arranged point at a later time.
