There
are no direct trains from Ciampino Airport to Rome, unlike the main
airport Fiumicino. You have to use public buses from the airport to
link with either the Metro system of Rome or the suburban rail system.
The train station is very close, only about 5 minutes in the bus and
frequent trains to Termini Station in Central Rome.
The Metro option is about 15 minutes in the bus.
Both options are cheaper than the direct bus links to Termini. |

The
Metro option is very crowded at all times. However the Metro Station
where the Ciampino Bus links to, Anagnina Metro is the southern terminus
on Line A of the Rome Metro. You should at least get a seat on the
way into town.
If you are contemplating this option you should check out the Rome
travel passes, as it may be beneficial to purchase such a pass
at Anagnina.
Remember to leave plenty of time in your schedule getting out to Ciampino. |
