The size of vehicle and transfer time does depend on the number of drop-offs and is entirely dependent on the number of people arriving at a similar time to you and going to the same area of Rome. A shuttle transfer normally operates in an 8 seat bus but other vehicles may be substituted.
Each traveller is allowed a maximum of 1 suitcase and 1 carry-on bag. Oversized or excessive luggage (e.g. surfboards, golf clubs or bikes) will have certain restrictions.

Additional fees will be charged on the day of travel for excess luggage. Baby seats are not available.

Rome city hotels can be located down narrow cobblestone streets so it's impossible for the shuttle to drive down these. In this case, the shuttle will get you as close to the front of the hotel as possible.
On the shuttle service there are no concessions for children and seniors.
Fares are per passenger one-way. If more than three passengers make a reservation on the same booking a tiered fare structure is triggered - the more travelling the cheaper the fare per passenger.
For flights between 9pm and 6am there is a slightly higher rate. You need to provide your flight details at the time of reservation.
Like all shared shuttle operations worldwide it may take only 30-60 minutes for the van to drive from the airport to the city, depending on traffic but if there are several drops from customers spread around the city it can easily take as long again to perform the drops if you are one of the last.

The Leonardo Express Airport Train is a dedicated airport train taking 30 minutes to reach the centre of Rome (Termini Station) with a frequency every 30 minutes.
The only reason not to use the service is cost, it is around double the cost of competing bus and local train options. The service is a dedicated airport train and runs non stop, every 30 minutes.
At Termini Station in Rome Leonardo Express trains arrive and depart from platforms 23 or 24, in the main area of the station - close to the left luggage office at the station. At Fiumicino, the station is part of the passenger terminal complex. Although it can be a fair walk out to the station area it is undercover with moving walkways.
