Rome Ciampino airport is to the south-east of Rome city centre, there is no direct train service to the passenger terminals.

Therefore your final approach to the airport by whatever transport mode you choose must be by road.
Rome Airport Bus - Ciampino
By public transport the most straightforward option is the Terravision Bus that runs very frequently from the terminals.
The Terravision Vus service runs non-stop to Termini Station, the main transport hub in the centre of Rome. Termini Hotels are a very convenient area for accommodation for independent visitors.

Public Transport
If you really want to save a few Euros, you can get a local bus from the airport to Ciampino train station.
The bus runs every 20 minutes.

Rome Rail &
Metro Map
From Ciampino there are suburban trains to Termini Station. See public transport page for current fares.

The other alternative is again a local bus to Anagnina Metro station. The bus runs every 40 minutes, but there are occassional gaps in the schedule. It should be emphasised that the Metro especially get very, very crowded, even at off-paek times - not a pleasant experience wth luggage.
Taxi Services
There is of course a taxi rank outside the terminal at Ciampino .

The journey into Rome will depend on traffic conditions but should take around 40-60 minutes.
Approximate cost is €40. Supplements might be asked for luggage, night-time runs and public holidays.
