Rome Fiumicino airport is the main airport for Rome, its smaller rival
Ciampino is largely restricted to low cost budget airlines and charters.

Ciampino
Airport
Rome Ciampino airport is dominated by low cost budget airlines, particularly
Ryanair and easyJet.
Rome Ciampino airport is to the south-east of Rome city centre. There
is no direct train service to the passenger terminals, so you must,
at least initially leave the airport by vehicle. |

Terravision
Ciampino Bus |
|
|
The
dominant public transport connection are the low cost airport bus
operators, Terravision and SIT. Both run a shuttle service to Termini
Station in the city centre, for the first time visitor these are the
simplest option to take.
A lot of people utilise local bus services that connect to Rome's
Metro system and also the local suburban rail system that runs into
Termini Station from Ciampino station, not on the airport.
There are of course taxi / private hire options both from the taxi
rank outside and prebooked with meet and greet. |
