Trevi Fountain & Spanish Steps Hotel Districts The area around Trevi fountain and the Spanish Steps are a honeycomb of small streets. The default way to get about is by foot.

The Metro has stops at Spagna, immediately adjacent to the Spanish Steps and Barberini, not far from Trevi fountain.
Local buses are unable to penetrate much of the district and are restricted to a few arteries. A small electric bus does run through the narrow streets but its capacity is very small and most visitors will soon become confused with their location.

A natural extension of the area is over to the Pantheon, just to the west of the Trevi Fountain.
