Family Rooms In Rome are available in a surprising number of hotels in central Rome. Unfortunately the majority are in relatively small independent hotels who have the majority of their rooms as standard rooms accommodating two people and just a handful of family rooms.

Unfortunately in Rome itself there is an absence of chain hotels in purpose built accommodation offering family room accommodation.
The exception to the rule is the Express Holiday Inn San Giovanni. This is a little way from the true city centre but compensated by being conveniently located near a Metro and railway station that has direct trains to the main airport, Fiumicino.
Rooms here are the standard double/twin for adults and a sofa bed for the kids.
Of the independent hotels that predominate in the family three star sector that has focus on this page, the widest choice of such accommodation is around Termini Station. Partly because of the intense competition here, prices are relatively economic compared with other central districts.
