The
budget Novotel and Ibis options are situated by the orbital motorway
circling Rome, really only a viable option with a car. With a car
these offer very competitive rates and an easy journey to a nearby
Metro station.
For most visitors arriving by air or train, it is the Mercure offerings,
three mid range hotels of good quality in the centre of Rome.
The most central of the three is the Mercure Colloseo, by the the
Collosseum.
Similar hotels, but a short way from the centre resulting in sometimes
bargain room rates are the two other Mercure hotels.
The Mercure Piazza Bologna is conveniently close to Bologna Metro,
just 3 stops from Termini.
The cheapest option, the Mercure Corso Trieste is in a residential
area about 1km north. Very frequent buses will have you in the city
centre in about 20 minutes from here. |
