As a result many of the choices are around Termini Station, the most competitively priced district in the centre of Rome through intense competition.
Being based at Termini means you have the best transport connections, both to get around the city and to get to your flight or train when leaving.
In terms of logistics, ease of visiting Rome's main sights and transfers to the airports, cruise ports and inter-city trains Termini is the best hotel district to base yourself in Rome.
We also have a few choices a little away from the centre, but all are by a metro station so you can be in the centre of the city within 20 minutes. This way you do not pay the sometimes substantial price premium of staying in the centre, getting a much more comfortable hotel than you could get for the same money in the city centre.
Room rates are highly seasonal in Rome, so depending how far forward you are looking, the prices can be radically different.

Budget Hotel In The Centre Of Rome By Termini Station Is in a quiet area, 5 minutes' walk from Rome Termini Train Station. Air conditioning is available in each room, along with satellite TV and free internet access. Rooms: Single, Double/Twin, Triple & Quad Rooms Comment: Another low cost option in the budget Termini Station, one step up from the very cheapest hotels, but again just metres from the station with all its facilities. The Termini Station area is surrounded by these type of budget independent 2/3 star grade independent hotels. Just 44 rooms in the hotel, there are no large, modern purpose built budget chains at the moment anywhere in the centre of Rome. A great strategy if you appreciate a bit of comfort is to look at a hotel in the inner suburbs with great public transport links to the centre.
